From candy bars to crocodiles, water features to holes-in-one; members of the Australian Oil & Gas Industry went all out to ensure their message stood out at the 2010 APPEA Conference and Exhibition. However, tucked away in an otherwise-quiet little corner of the main hall stood a booth shared by EPS Compression and LEAN FIELD Developments: a little booth attracting a lot of interest.
Whether curiosity spawned from the impressive sight of the SpiderPlow positioned at the main entrance or from industry chatter about the innovative Networked InField Compression (NIC) system, stand 59 was abuzz with activity all week. The focus of this year’s conference on coal seam gas boded well for EPS Compression, prompting many enquiries about the NIC system and its perfect suitability to CSG production. Representatives from Cameron Compression Systems were available to help demonstrate the capabilities of the Ajax and Superior compressors, while the benefits of using Flexpipe over conventional steel pipe were plain to see on the SpiderPlow video presentation.
The final day of exhibition was capped off by a prize draw for a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, which was hand-delivered to the office of winner Clem Hodda, from ERM Power; a sweet deal for Mr Hodda and the conclusion of a sweet week for EPS Compression.
